Reports indicate that a strip club in Southwest Florida, which was destroyed by Hurricane Ian’s impact, has now reopened under a temporary tent on Fort Myers Beach. The establishment, previously known as Fantasy’s at the Beach, has been renamed Vixens Fort Myers Beach. The change in ownership had been planned prior to the hurricane, with the business being purchased just two months before the storm struck.
Despite facing adversity, the company managed to clear the debris left by the hurricane at 19240 San Carlos Blvd. and set up a large white tent on the existing concrete slab. Vixens Fort Myers Beach has obtained temporary permits to operate until March 24, but the possibility of extending the permit will depend on the success of their operations, as mentioned by John Gallagher, the president of the company, in an interview with News-Press.com.
Gallagher considers the reopening of the strip club to be a cause for celebration within the community. The establishment’s tent operation is seen as an informal gathering for the neighborhood, symbolizing the resilience and rebuilding efforts following the destructive impact of the hurricane. Gallagher expressed the desire to provide the community, which suffered significant damage, with a moment of enjoyment and to serve as a reminder that everyone will work together to rebuild the area, with Vixens leading the way.
Furthermore, it has been reported that the strip club intends to invest $1.1 million in constructing a permanent building on the same site, demonstrating their long-term commitment to the community and the revitalization of the area.
