The upstairs at the Dean Street version didn't always exist and in fact when I started going to CF more than 20 years ago there was no nudity; no upstairs; not private dances at all. The only 2 attractions were the pool table, where you could play some great playters and the small raised, cabaret area between the back bar and the stage area. It began to change in the early/mid 90's.
It was really quiet last night. Spoke to a few girls that have been working here for awhile and they are not interested in doing the cabaret dances on the new area. It will be interesting if this will help I am not sure. They have to look at who they hire for new girls. New talent recently nothing to look at, but same goes for current talent

The upstairs at the old Dean Street location did not always exist. When it first opened there was a spiral staircase to the second floor. The concrete steps were added later. Good memories of the old club!
The club on Dean Street had an upstairs (the line used to go all the way to the bottom of the stairway on busy nights) a very small nude stage (with nude cabarets) and champagne rooms...
Amazing is the human mind for it always makes the old days the good old days. 35+ and the idea that 6-8 years ago the dancers were so, so much better simply makes me laugh. I actually recall them being worse on average simply because demand was so high anyone with breasts and a vagina was dancing. What people on this board don't want to admit is simply that extras killed stripping. When CF was on Dean street it was always busy and I recal when there was no upstairs, no nudity, no CR's, no laps at all.
year or so back i recall often even the brazilians, sometimes 4 or 5 hanging at the table downstairs, would just laugh when they saw a customer sitting in the chair waiting for his cabaret. Brazilians, american, whatever, few dancers would bother and this was often when upstairs was closed, meaning there weren't exaclty alot of customers in the club to begin with.

boom years gone, big money customers gone, other customers watching every penny, so 90% of hotties out of the business. Maybe 10 to 20 hotties are still doing very well $$ wise, and most are whores and they are dispersed in the 5 major clubs in town.
Fantasies was designed to handle large crowds. so the downturn produces a ghost town effect. But Foxy and Caddy business still off too, not as much, and that's why the doors are now in at Fantasies.. Apart from its small size Desire has a regs core group to make the club look busy.
They have tried to bring cabaret dances back once already. The dancers refused to do it because the guys didn't tip. Management tried to encourage the girls but they still didn't do it. You can't tell dancers to do anything they don't want to do. They'll just go someplace else to work. Try running a strip club with no strippers.
What did they do back 6-8 years ago when this place was the best club in town? They had a variety of dancers, white, black, asian, and brazillian. Had 40-50 girls working the weekend night shifts and 20-30 during the week night shifts. Most dancers were at the very least a 7 level with many 8's and some 9's. Also, booths were being used very frequently as the dancers were pushing them. I know the economy is down but Caddy, Desire and Foxy seem to be very busy on the weekends while fantasies is slow. They should bring back the "blueprint" of yesteryear to get this club going.
If this place isa pass its because no cabarets and $25 dances in this economy isn't as enticing as cabarets and and $20 dances like they used to do. If your quality isn't higher you cannot charge more.
Real lackluster talent working here lately . Remember when this place had the most variety and hot dancers . This place is a pass for most without the 2 for 1 special .

Bringing back Cabarets is one thing that has yet to be tried and doesn't cost a cent. If it works great. If it doesn't, nothing lost. Maybe the dancers might have someone in management explain to them that thisd place had great cabarets, which actually coincided with the glory days of the club making serious money. If Cabarets lead to dances the dancers will love cabarets. If they have an objection to doing them they should be advised to seek employment elsewhere.
"Pit" is right. Cabaret dancing is not coming back. It's not about club layout or rearranging the furniture, it's about customers tipping and dancer attitude. The mindset is not the same as it was years ago.
More changes are on the way i am just not sure what they are going to be. Dont judge the club in these winter months, wait until April when things start to get going again. Would like to see them do something with the upstairs stages too.
Why add all these new ideas when the club is slow and can't hire enough hot ladies to pack the place . A big empty stage and more empty booths doesnt make much sense . Maybe they will start bringing in feature performers or something . Otherwise the lineups here compared to Caddy and Desire are major .
The new stage is big and a waste, unless you have enough patrons to sit around it and you put two girls up there at the same time with out enough people to tip, the girls won't want to dance. As far as the cabarets, you can get one while the girl is on the dance floor so to have a special area is useless, then I heard that they are going to add additional booths upstairs, what for when there is never a problem getting one now, they already have more booths than any other club, an also add more cabaret leather chairs upstairs, don't quite know why. They have gotten some new girls, about 10, recently but not much to look at.
Is this new stage a new design element like the new doors upstairs that dont get much use. They are trying everything here to bring in talent but its not working. This club was dead all last week.
The question is what does this place presently have to offer in the way of Asian girls? It's a simple enough question. The ones you describe are certainly part of the reason it was a good place to visit but i'm well-aware they've both been done in terms of years.

So if you see him passed out on fhe bar upstairs drunk, you know, like last night, nothing to worry about. The next day he will once again be develping new ideas for the club.
Did not see Lydia, but tori was there and i think she was the only brazillian there that i could see. I think Alana uses that name here but i did not see her on stage or hear her named called to go on stage. She was at cheaters for a few months then jumped over here to fantasies. I forgot to mention that Syndey was there too. Linda, the bartender, said she is back for good, but only a couple of nights a week. In my opinion she is one of the best bartenders in Providence.
The changes they are making here are pretty good, and i think there are more changes in the pipeline so we will see what is next.

It my look a little goofy when the club is a ghost town and there is only on dancer on the stage. They were not using the second stage that much, so now at least the area maybe put to some kind of use. Linda was back as a bartender st the main bar and Michelle was at the other first floor bar. I did not see Julie or Lydia; does anyone know if either of them are around and working here or are they on vacation or something.

They combined both stages on the first floor and made it into a caberet seating area with leather chairs. Kind of hard to explain it on here so you have to go to the club and see it for yourself. It looks good and is certainly unique to providence. Leanna, Janet, Kasey, Paris, Mariah, Cassidy, Nala, Natalia, and a few others were there. Elena is back but she did not work last night, works about 3 days a week if i had to estimate.

I agree about the two covers feeling - I don't think it's a scam because no one is forcing you to pay. Normally, I wouldn't have a desire to go upstairs, but I don't like it when a girl I want to see is dancing up there and I can't tip her or talk to her. Unlike some, I do go to see the girls dance so missing an opportunity to see them sucks. For new chicks, I often use the stage dance as an opportunity to assess their lap dance skills and mood as well
How was the action last night? As far as the cover goes, one price would be better, but that doesn't stop me. As far as going up stairs to see the girls that aren't that nice to take their panties off, I don't care because the classy and nice girls when they dance upstairs dont take their panties off.
