The IRS has no way of verifying a dancer's income since they don't work on a W-2 or 1099 in RI or in most other states. They don't have the manpower to chase every tax cheat in the country so they don't waste time with people that they know it would be almost impossible to build a case against. By the way, dancers are not the only people who hide income from the IRS. Anyone involved in a cash business can under report with little fear of reprisal. Mechanics, hairdressers, bartenders, parking attendants etc.
Correct & the OP said $800 to $1500 which is quite possible in a 5 or 6 hour shift. My guess is the ones doing it aren't necessarily the hottest looking dancer in the room; they smoke & drink little if at all; & they socialize with LOTS of customers even to the point of actual conversation. Anyone can do OK in a money flood, but in a slow to medium room, the real workers will consistently out perform the complainers.

The scam is to report just enough income to pay no federal income taxes but still get a "refund", which really amounts to an offset (plus) to soc sec taxes paid.
Dancers with kids have all sort of scam possibiities, the simplest one is food stamps. Also WIC and 19 other programs if they're non-filers not on the radar. Lets say a "dancer" makes a 100k cash a year and she's an american citizen, if she even reports at all, she might declare 35k, so instead of paying 20 to 25k on the 100k she earns, she will pay 4 to 5k on the 35k declared. That's the game and everyone knows about this, even the IRS. Why is it allowed? who knows. Now with the illegals, who are generally on visa overstays, they usually pay zero and rarely ever file even after their (often but not always) sham marriages to get their papers. Its all a game. Its easily 4 to 5 million in evaded taxes by strippers in Providence, mostly on the self-employment SS tax, a 15.3.% rate which impacts 100% of dancers as its off the top with no exemptions or deductions..
The only way a dancer can make 1500 a night at fantasies is if she does 12 booths. Other than that these dancers are not making anywhere near that. On a busy saturday night during bachelor party season, which is right now, she might be making $500.
Nobody is exempt from paying taxes. Hope you were being sarcastic and not stupid. My guess would be that most(75%) do not declare their income (cash) as taxable income. Sure, if they did file a tax return they can classify themselves as entertainers, but I highly doubt that any of them are upfront with all their cash earnings.

To the post below......Your example of a girl at The Foxy making $800 to $1500 on a Saturday night is disturbing for two reasons. One, how and what does a girl do to make that much money..is it a series of guys they have sex with? Unlikely, since most these guys may be first timers. And that is not tax money going to the state. The girl would not declare taxes, especially that kind of money as it would involve prostitution. Secondly, these are mostly pre paid buses, to which the state gets zero as usually the rides are out of state.
Madison used the same name at Desire and Fantasies I believe. Not sure when she switched clubs. but dancers do it all the time for little if any reason. Madison would not be described as "petite", more a medium build. Most likely she switched because of the new doors and less competition from other dancers as Fantasies has a lot of 6 and below types, and maybe she got tired of the regulars scene at Desire.

The bachelor party business is critical to Providence clubs. These are groups routinely arriving from 40 to 80 miles away, and many have never even been in a high contact strip club, so its potential new customers down the road. As far as spending, true most party guys are cheap or broke, and some have an allocated 25 dollar amount, but there is often enough non cheap or non broke guys to be profitable for dancers. At Foxy, the big nights for dancers (e.g $800 to $1500) typically happen in bachelor party season.
What's been the action at the club tonite. Was there during the day and it was slow and not a lot of girls. Any of the regulars on tonite. The problem with bachelor parties are they don't spend money on dances. The regulars don't like to hang with them because the guys are usually drunk and don't spend money.. what was the line up

Ex-Desire dancer Madison asking for Champ rms but no harassment, kind of alluring with the 12 private rooms just steps away. Small party of some type, 10 to 12 guys arrived around midnite, then headed upstairs to "nude room", but only 3 or 4 dancers up there, and not too good. Looked disappointed. Hawaii 50 bouncer says next week big fish are coming in, as fish tank acclimation almost ready. Very relaxing, club looked good, lights do make dances look worse, staff is very friendly here.

Now that the Inn is gone you don't have to dance anymore. If you do dance try Foxy or Desire, you'll do good, you just won't be able to hang around till you're 55 like Eva did and is doing at the smaller clubs.

the new LED lights do save money, but also add years to to dancer faces, so much so you barely recognize them. I didn't even recognize Jilliani under the 2nd floor bar lights the other night , and i saw her less than 2 months ago at Desire. Those lights especially at the bar add not only age, but pierce through the makeup, and generally make a dancer look worse, not a good idea no matter how many dollars they save on power bills.
Incandescent bulbs not only don't detract from looks, they add to beauty.
Have not been to this club in quite some time, but have to see the fish in the fish tank. At least this club has something the other clubs don't have. And at the same time. will check out the hotties on duty. My guess is that they tend to be quite young. Is it comfortable for an older guy to go there?
the midget's got it under control. Soon the fish tank will be up to the ultra high standards of the club itself. Now as far as the light design, yes the midget did do that and those lights probably add 15 years to dancer's ages, but they use very little electricity and make the club look very high tech.

Dont even bother stepping foot into satin doll, total waste of your time and money. Eva is there and she hounds every guy and clings to them like a stalker. Trust me, you will not make much money there, the club is never busy. Personally i have stopped going there because its not even worth the five dollar cover. Give cheaters a shot, much better customer base there.

90 percent of the time its a disgruntled dancer not makin the cash....its funny how they bash ex sports dancers probably because they brought in customers with them who are buyng dances and drinks for them....agree with post below..cust serv will keep your regulars comin back..they might not be rich like some of the cust fro bachelor parties but they're loyal...also with the economy you need a club that's not so upscale....can't eat swordfish everynight gotta mix it up with some tuna in the can!!!!
