Interesting poll on the providence journal website asks readers if they support or oppose legislation criminalizing indoor prostitution and people who responded oppose it by a 2 to 1 ratio. I didn't think so many johns could read the paper.
I don't think the prostitution bill will be passed soon, if at all this year. The trafficking bill will be passed on the 23rd but the indor pros bill hasnt been voted for a floor vote yet and probably wont be without admenments, which will require at least one more committee session. So we have at least a week before a vote of the senate would be my guess. I think its 50/50 it ever gets to the floor vote. Some womens groups that initially supported the bill no longer do.
NOTE: The house bill specifically defines sexual acts and and it does not include what we would term grinding nor does it include touching boobies...so we got that going for us...which is nice.

Bill passed house and it now has to be heard by the Senate Judiciary committee, if it gets out of this committee, it goes to the full senate for a vote , if it passes and the Governor. signs it , the bill then becomes law. I think if you go to the Legislature's web site and if you have the bill number you can track the bills progress or lack thereof online.
I keep hearing about this July 1 deadline yet when I googled the issue I didn't read any news articles on the new law other than that the house passed a bill. When did the Senate pass it? When did the governor sign it? If neither has occurred just stfu because its not a law yet.

I have been a regular around the Providence Stripclub scene going back to when Jackie O was on the stage. Over the years I have been able to establish a relationship with several girls that has gone OTC without any additional cost. There was a time (35 years and 35 lbs ago) when there was mutual physical attraction but even then it was two people that enjoyed each others company.
