I agree, this club could do more to be less of a thug hangout. I am also a day person most of the time, however from time to time I go in at night. It seems Satin Doll, Cheaters and this place attract the worst types of people. CF use to as well but they have made the attempt to clean themselves up. With some money going into the club I thought their wanted to clean this place up too. I too will be back when the dust settles.
I have to agree for the most part that this club is laid back with no pressure from anyone. The clientel is very mixed and yes there is the thug factor also. I am mostly an afternoon person so I don't see the worst of it, however, there are thugs hanging out in the front at any given time and it makes it uncumfortable to just walk down the sidewalk, nevermind walking thru the door. It was a random act just as the shootings in the other clubs and neighborhoods etc etc etc. Will be back once the dust settles.
This guy was a loser and a coward. The funny thing is I was in the club Tuesday afternoon, and I didn’t even know what had happened, the night before. Donna is a good person, and I hope for the best. The club attracts all kinds from businessmen to dirt bag losers. I like to think I am somewhere in the middle, however I like this place. It can be very laid back, the girls are low pressure and friendly, and I personally know and like the bartenders. John has cut me some breaks, and he does not even know me at all. All of the clubs in RI have had similar problems, it is an occupational hazard.
What was it exactly that this guy with the gun was so pissed off about that he had to go in and open fire anyway?? Only cowards open fire on a bunch of unarmed patrons and women.
So far shootings and stabbings haven't done it in since apparently nobody's pocketbook has taken a hit over them, but I'm thinkling that there's 3 folks that Jim Sokolove and his ilk might be circling around (don't get me wrong, hoping everybody recovers with no lingering effects) now whispering words like "civil lawsuit", "punitive damages" and "so this doesn't happen to anybody else" in their ears, particularly since this happened on the premises and not outside. I mean would you be in a rush to return to work there if you were one of the ones that got shot?
This isn't the first shooting or stabbing. I know someone's brother that was shot in the back on the sidewalk by a friend of the guy he got into a fight with someone that he stepped on his sneaker in the SI. His friends did nothing and didn't even ID the shooter or the other guy to the cops even though they knew who it was.
This place needs to close. I guess they want deaths because spinal cord injuries and wheelchairs don't count.
With a bartender and a dancer shot and in the hospital (hey the customer took his chances going in in the first place, so he doesn't count) you would think they might close for a day or two, but either the management isn't afraid of a few bullets (they still have other bartenders and dancers), or the Satin Doll begged them not to close rather than inheriting the sportsmen's customers.
I was there on Saturday and noticed one of the dancers (I think her name is Candy) sporting a black eye. I asked one of the other dancers what her story was and she told me that Faith had beat her up on Friday...probably upset that she was making more money...not sure if she quit or was asked to leave.

there was a shooting last night at sportsmens , 4 people were shot in the lobby 2 dancers and 2 customers, my recomendation is to stay away from here , it is a dangerous club a BIG THUG hangout i was assaulted and robbed out in front of this club last year, also most of the dancers are former street prostitutes , most have an std, herpes, some have HIV, afew have full blown aids, so guys be careful here very careful.
Have been going to this place often, mostly weekdays, in the last few months and have never come across a Heather. Have come to like a few others so it is my favorite joint for the time being. Don't need that big club bull!

worse club around , lets start with the building , it is old and decrepit, the staff meaning the bartenders and bouncers are unprofessional, some of the bouncers are dirty looking bums, the bartenders are slow with no personality , the dancers are ugly and fat what a depressing place, plus no parking my advice if you are looking for a comparable club go to cheaters or satin doll

any positive changes here? place has been in a downhill slide for several years. had some nice girls here but they are all gone. place was just filthy when i visited in october.
I would say it is not the worst club. Went there last night, only a few girls working which was okay because there were not a lot of guys in the club. The girls are friendly and will sit and talk to you if you want. Not sure if I would eat the food at any strip club not matter how clean the club looked. Good news the men’s restroom is fixed.
best club in the state pure and simple id put these girls up against anything any club in providence has, also we have a top notch kitchen offering great meals here
heard they are hiring some gorgeous girls from the boston area, apparently john has some contacts there should be in the next few weeks, the club is undergoing a facelift from top to bottom, the hotel rooms look great now , this is definitely the best club in new england . agreat staff, very professinal to the customers, the best bartenders and dancers around , i give an 8 rating for the girls and a ten for the staff and club, i stayed at the hotel before the rooms are beautiful and a great deal.
They have made some improvements downstairs and it looks a whole lot better. The one thing I don't like is the ticket collector is right near the first booth and a little stretch of the neck he can be staring at you. He can also hear everything. If I get stuck there again I'll turn around and walk back upstairs. Some of the booths are too open also. Heard they may be putting beads up. That would be a plus.

Went here yesterday afternoon. The place was empty, which was okay with me. I received a lot of attention from two very attractive girls, Heather and Tonya. This place may not be as nice as some of the stuck up, uptight places, but some of the girls are great. This is a good place to relax, have a drink and have some fun. The parking sucks, the bathrooms sucks, but it was still worth it. I only wish Bianca, the bartender would come around the bar and dance for me.
This place is so funny you cant take a shit there as the toilet in the mens room has been out of order for months. You can barely breath in the mens room it is so nasty. I think it is funny it reflects on the club as a nasty pit of coke ridden crack heads whores who dance here.
I enjoy the mens room as it reminds me of how disgusting this place is occasionally I will piss on the floor just to add to the scent of the mens room.
I say no renovations and keep this place as a reminder of what a strip club should strive not to be. I say save the disgusting puke smelling mens room no renovations. It makes me laugh everytime I go there which is about twice a year.
It is a bunch of bullshit! They are actually going to start some renovations in the very near future. Hope the private dance area and bathrooms are included!
I have to tend to think this is a bunch of bullshit. I go in there on occasion and there always seems to be a steady flow of customers. Also, the rooms upstairs are valualble. Not sure who owns the building, but in this economy, a tenant is like gold.
to be frank, i woulodnt hold hands with some of the scumbags working here, some are or still are street hookers, crackheads , heroin addicts, guys be careful here this is the bottom of the barrel.
