heard there was another incident here saturday night, apparently a customer pulled a gun out , the bouncers wrestled with him and threw him out, guess they wont call the police because it will affect there liquor license, people you go here at your own risk, sportsmens is a very dangerous place to go to
heard about the club on the news, i checked it out tuesday afternoon, what a joke, went in 3pm , there was one dancer there sitting on the stage, the bartender and i assume an employee were playing cards at the bar, there wasnt a dj, the bartender acted like i was bothering her when i asked for a beer, i stayed for 10 minutes and left, not kidding i was the ONLY customer in here . 2 other guys walked in and walked out, the club is creepy dirty old, the bartender had no personality and rotted out teeth , she looked like a witch , id never go back here ., the dancer sitting on the stage looked like a crackhead , id never go back here.

girls becarefull 2 murders in boston at the meriot and another high class boston hotel. Seems that the girls were set up to be robbed, by who they thought was a trick on creigs list
its a 5 star hotel based on a 1000 point system, if you have a bachelor party wear a bulletproof vest , dont eat anything here( it is very dirty you may get sick }also wear condoms and dont let the dancers get any saliva on you , most have heptitis c , hiv or any number of stds, hope this helps you , dont drink out of any glasses , (be careful you dont get mugged , stabbed or shot, )enjoy your bachelor party, btw there is no parking here either, the hotel rooms are dirty , there are bedbugs in the mattresses and bedsheets t, the doors are poritco board and can be pushed in , dont keep valuables in the rooms , and please dont step outside the club after dark, have a wonderful time here

sportsmens has NO dress code , it is a haven for thugs, drug pushers pimps etc, many of the dancers are hiv positive due to the fact they were formerly streetwalkers, the club is an eyesore in the new downcity area, a friend of mine was robbed in the club a very very dangerous place , with so many good choices in providence do not go here .
there have been shootings at most clubs in Providence whether in the parking lot or, as in this case, in the hotel lobby. Strip clubs breed bad behavior whether the clientele is dress in a suit or looking like a thug. Granted, the thugs are more of an everyday problem.

well if you want the story here it is there was a fight in the hotel it was ended donna and jasmian and two desk clerks also to patrons were in the lobby a man came in after he was beaten up earlier in the night he then open up fire on the people donna ended up shot in the back of the head, one paton in both hands trying to fight gun off the nut and the other girl bullet went though pant leg was not hit thats the real story the sportsmen is a dive but it is a fun place it needs to be more on top of who is coming in the person who did the shooting is still at large and was a dancers boyfriend he should not have been allow into that club. the two people that were hit are living and doing better.

There have been shootings outside of both Desire and Fantasies over the last couple of years. Foxy has had it share of underworld problems in the past so none of these places are immune. By the way, is this shooter still at large? Haven't heard anything about his capture.
The Cadillac is better than this club but I wouldn't call it clean or safe. It has more than it's share of thugs. The clean, safe clubs in town are Desire, Foxy, and even Fantasies. Cadillac has become a more down and dirty club over the past couple of years.
sportsmens is at the low end of the providence clubs, it isnt even a strip club, the club needs to be remodeled, frankly it is depressing the atmosphere and the facility are old and dirty, plus no parking , now add in shootings thugs drug overdoses upstairs and you have a recipe for disaster here, it is common sense, sure a shooting could happen anywhere but if you create an atmosphere inviting this type of element you have a recipe for disaster, personally i never would go back here i now go to the cadillac lounge much safer cleaner club plus free parking try it out guys and girls you can see and feel the difference at the cadillac lounge,
There has been a shooting at pretty much every nudie bar in RI. This one was a little extreme because it was inside and basically open fire. Point is, no place is immune and I would not feel a whole lot safer at the Foxy or Desire than here. Unfortunetely, thugs hang around strip clubs whether they are in a suit or looking like a low down asshole.
You're comparing not shutting down a highway because fatal accidents happen, to not shutting down a club, even temporarily, because 3 people got shot inside? And when I walk into any club I should have to keep it in my mind that shootings and stabbings happen so I'm entering at my own risk? Come on, you're either smoking something serious or this place is like a second home to you, with the "laid back" girls, the thugs and the wannabes (trust me, the real gangstas wouldn't bother with this place). The place does NOT need to close. Like everything in life, you enter these places at your own risk. Too bad about the victims, but they don't shut down highways when there is a fatal accident.
The bartenders and girls are cool and laid back. One of my favorite spots...
